Bermeo Fishermen Museum

Over the Old Port of Bermeo is the historical Ercilla tower, declared a National Monument, the walls of which have, since 1948, provided home to the Fishermen's Museum. This is one of the few museums in the world dedicated exclusively to showing visitors the world, life, work and techniques of fishermen. In this museum we can contemplate aspects related to the description of the coast and the Basque fishing ports; the life and customs of fishermen, their guilds; the vessels and the techniques used over time for fishing and for sailing.
The history of the tower and its inhabitants is also shown in one of the halls.
