Nekatur is a committed association that strives to preserve local culture and traditions, as well as cultural heritage elements, by involving local communities in the tourism activities we develop so that they can benefit economically, socially, and culturally; particularly through employment.
We deeply believe that our role is not just to mitigate the effects of climate change but to positively contribute to improving our environment. For this reason, we have developed the Nekatur Sustainable Best Practices Manual, we are members of the Euskadi Ecotourism Board and the Ecotourism Association of Spain, we have obtained the Euskadi Ethical Code distinction and Queer Destinations Committed and the Bai Euskarari certificate.
Our goal as a collective is to integrate sustainability and inclusion into the daily practice of each associated accommodation as a basic principle for tourism development.
For our accommodations to be sustainable and inclusive means that the world will be a better place for future generations.
That is our goal.
